The PTO consists of dedicated parents seeking to enhance the quality of our children’s education through fundraising and positive relations with school administration and staff. Our goals to help support Mount Vernon Woods Elementary and the educational needs of each student include:
- Help to build staff morale
- Prioritize the students needs
- Be financially responsible
- Encourage positive parent/teacher & staff interaction
- Create school and community unity through fun activities
- Create efficient channels of communication between MVWES, parents, and the PTO
- Encourage involvement with and inform parents and community about political decisions related to education
